Just simply turn the screw mechanism, counter clockwise, to make the bar move inward, applying deep pressure against the balls. When you're ready to release them just reverse the direction of the screw. This crusher is 4.5" high and 4" wide with an inner opening of 2.75" x 2.75". The closure clamps down all the way to zero movement.
